What is a capless fountain pen?
Caps are a necessity to 99% of fountain pens, caps ensure that the ink held between the nib and the feed does not dry out. Having a cap on your pen means that every time you want to write, you have to take the cap off. In situations like note-taking, taking a cap on and off can become a hassle. However, some fountain pen brands have found a way around this hiccup. The solution is to remove the cap in total and allow the nib to retreat into the body of the pen. Some of the most notable capless fountain pens are: Pilot Vanishing Point, Lamy 2000, and Lamy Dialog. However, all of the aforementioned pens are upwards of $150 USD. This capless and nameless fountain pen can be had for only $5 USD. I am yet to find a name for this pen but I purchased it on Aliexpress from the St Penpps Pen shop.

Pros
I bought this pen in Extra Fine and have had a pretty good experience so far. The pen has a relatively stable ink flow and writes reliably. It provides uniform strokes with little to no pressure. The pen is uniquely designed, coming with a clip and a section with grooves for grip. And of course, the retracting nib makes for a solid writing experience when in a stop-and-go situation.

Cons
Like every other pen, this one does not come without its issues. The first issue is the limited writing angles. Because the nib is set at the top of the end of the pen, writing at low angles will cause the bottom of the end of the pen to make contact with the paper instead of the nib. Also, the pen does have some issues with hard-starting if left unused for any meaningful amount of time.

Who is this pen for?
Overall, this is a nice pen. It has nice looks and a cool gimmick at a very affordable price. I'd say that If you are looking for a retractable fountain pen, definitely go for this pen over other cheap options like the Lanbitou 3088. If you are a student that takes notes or even an artist that wants to bring a fountain pen where ever you go, this could be a great option.

  Duke 209 Fude Nib Pen When looking for affordable beginner fountain pens, it can be hard to find good-quality a pen not made out of plastic. One of the more attractive pens in this niche is the Duke 209 Fountain pen. This text review will give a general overview and give my genuine opinion of whether this pen is worth the price.
